I know, it’s not a cake. But it’s an easy breezy dessert that works best on a hot summer night.
6 pears, peeled and corded
1 bottle of sweet wine (Manishevitz or Concord)
3 cinnamon sticks
Place pears in a pan so they can all fit on the bottom (no piling!)
pur wine up to the half-pear line, add cloves and cinnamon, cook 12 min. on each side.
Cool, keep in fridge, serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top.
