Up until now 4 million trees have been burned to the ground in the fire that raged Thursday morning in the Carmel forest. An area of Carmel mountains near Haifa. This place is called “Little Switzerland”. An “end” to the furnace is still not seen.  Yesterday Israel has received help from abroad in the attempt to extinguish the fire . Up until now 13,000 citizens were evacuated from their homes and  many of them have lost all they possess. A few photos are attached at the end of this post.

There is the link for the website of the Jewish agency where you can find the information, personal stories and about the ways you can help the Israel people.

The Jewish Federations of North America also have a site where you can read more information about Israel’s battle with the forest fire in the North of the country.

And lastly, the Israeli Embassy in Washington DC also has an information site.
